Lithium-ion batteries are the best option. With Lithium, with little to no maintenance is makes it the easiest option that is also one of the most environmentally friendly batteries available.
Lighter and Smaller
Lithium-ion batteries are smaller and lighter Lead-Acid batteries, around a third of the weight and half the size they are better for those who are limited in space.
